The Forsyth Beekeepers Club includes beekeepers and enthusiasts living in or around Forsyth County, Georgia. Our mission is the education and preservation of the honey bee and the products they make. Forsyth Beekeepers Club was established in 1998.
Each month, the club hosts guest speakers including university professors, authors and local experts. Topics are chosen each month to coordinate what you should be expecting from your hive. Other educational opportunities for members include the annual Beekeeping School in the early spring and the Queen Rearing class in late spring. There are also mentorship opportunities to those new to beekeeping. It is never difficult to find an expert ready to help.
The Forsyth Beekeepers Club members are active in the community and several volunteer their time educating children and groups about honey and honeybees. The club also host a booth at the local Forsyth County Fair where educational materials are displayed and experts are on-hand for questions. At the fair, there is even a honey competition.
The club meets the 4th Thursday of the month at the University of North Georgia - Cumming Campus Address: 300 Aquatic Cir, Cumming, GA 30040 at 6:30 pm. For more information, please check out the club's calendar.
New members are always welcome.
